    TERMS AND CONDTIONS
    1. Icon BF  standard payment terms for projects and manufacturing quotes require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due prior to delivery, installation, or collection. 
    2. Icon BF standard payment terms for in-stock items require full payment prior to delivery or collection.
    3. Ownership of all goods from Icon BF shall remain with the company until the full purchase price has been paid.
    4. Once the plans, samples, or specifications of the finished product are approved, the Customer will have no claim against Icon BF for any errors that arise thereafter.
    5. Despite Icon BF’s best efforts to deliver promptly, the Customer acknowledges that delays may occur.
    Any failure to deliver goods or services by the specified date does not entitle the Customer to cancel the order, in whole or in part, nor to claim any damages.
    6. Icon BF reserves the right, at its discretion, to decide on the acceptance of cancellations, quantity reductions, or returns.
    A cancellation fee of at least 25% of the Contract Price may be charged, and the company may seek to recover any associated damages
    7. Icon BF may, at its sole discretion, change or amend any of these terms, conditions or policies without notification and it is the user’s responsibility to ensure that he or she is satisfied with the terms and any amendments that may have been affected.
    8. It shall be the customer’s responsibility to properly inspect delivered goods if packaging shows visible damages, it is advised to make a clear note of such damages on the waybill when signing for the goods.
    DEFECTIVE AND FAULTY ITEMS
    1. Damage resulting from mishandling, user misuse, or improper product usage or assembly
    2. Damage resulting from insufficient maintenance of the product
    3. Damage resulting from modifications or alterations made to the product without prior authorization and/or-
    4. If the product specifications, despite being accurately described and generally suitable for its intended use, do not meet your requirements.
    5. Fair wear and tear with regards to a fair usage policy.
    5. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are typically processed within 5 business days.
    RETURNS POLICY
    1. Returns are applicable only to products purchased directly from Icon BF, and proof of purchase must be provided.
    2. Returns will be accepted for a full refund only if the items are in their original, unopened packaging.
    3. If an item is returned due to unsuitability or a change of mind, a refund will be issued minus the courier fee and a 10% handling charge,
    once the item has been returned to our warehouse and verified to be in saleable condition.
    4. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
    5. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are typically processed within 7 business days.

    Warranty Terms and Conditions:

    1. Warranty Coverage: The warranty applies to all office furniture products sold by Icon Business Furniture. Coverage duration varies based on the product category:

    • Chairs: Warranty ranges from 2 years to 5 years depending on the specific chair model.
    • Office Furniture (Desks, Cabinets, and Standard Items): 5-year warranty.
    • Custom Furniture Items: 2-year warranty.

    2. What the Warranty Covers: The warranty guarantees that the products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. Coverage includes:

    • Structural integrity of frames and bases.
    • Defects in upholstery, stitching, or fabric wear (subject to reasonable use).
    • Malfunctions or defects in mechanical components such as chair mechanisms, height adjustment levers, and casters.
    • Surface finish issues, including peeling, cracking, or discoloration, due to manufacturing defects.

    3. Exclusions from Warranty: The warranty does not cover:

    • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, fading, or fabric discoloration from sunlight or cleaning agents.
    • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper assembly.
    • Alterations or modifications made to the furniture after purchase.
    • Damage caused by improper maintenance, including the use of harsh chemicals or cleaners.
    • Damage resulting from commercial, industrial, or outdoor use unless specified as suitable.
    • Upholstery or surface issues resulting from sharp objects, burns, or stains.

    4. Warranty Claim Process: To make a warranty claim, follow these steps:

    1. Contact Icon Business Furniture at sales1@iconbf.co.za with proof of purchase and a description of the defect.
    2. Provide photographs or videos clearly showing the defect.
    3. Allow an inspection by our service team, if required, to assess the issue.

    5. Remedies Under Warranty: If a valid claim is approved, Icon Business furniture will, at its discretion:

    • Repair the defective product or component.
    • Replace the defective product or component with the same or a comparable item.
    • Provide a refund or partial refund proportional to the remaining warranty period.

    6. Limitations of Liability:

    • The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
    • The warranty is applicable only within South Africa.
    • Icon Business Furniture is not liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of the furniture.

    7. Maintenance and Care Guidelines: To ensure your furniture remains in good condition and to avoid voiding the warranty, follow these guidelines:

    • Use furniture only for its intended purpose.
    • Regularly clean and maintain surfaces using appropriate cleaning products.
    • Avoid overloading or using furniture beyond its specified weight limits.

    8. Warranty Periods by Product Category:

    • Chairs: Warranty duration depends on the specific model, ranging from 2 to 5 years. Refer to your product manual or invoice for details.
    • Office Furniture: 5-year warranty applies to standard desks, cabinets, and similar items.
    • Custom Furniture: 2-year warranty covers all custom-designed items.
